Hotel San Luis Obispo
Hotel San Luis Obispo is a modern urban resort that embodies the essence of SLO. Featuring Piadina and Ox + Anchor – two on-site restaurants; three bars including a rooftop lounge with a bocce ball court; social gathering and meeting facilities; Sol Spa – a full service spa; and luxurious pool and jacuzzi area.
I had the pleasure of being the Sales and Marketing Manager for Hotel San Luis Obispo during the pre-opening phase a year before opening. I worked closely with Hotel owners, architectural design firm Gensler, web developer, and other teams to bring this Hotel from concept to creation.

I was a Key team member in the development of Hotel San Luis Obispo from the ground up during its pre-opening phase a year before opening.

Pre-Opening Phase
Being a part of the pre-opening team at Hotel SLO was the most rewarding experience that taught me so much. I worked rigorously and closely with the Hotel Owners, architectural design firm architects and designers from Gensler, Sales and Marketing Director, web developer, photographers, and the General Manager on this project.
When I started on this project, the building itself was in the process of being built. Every day was a new adventure and a new accomplishment. I learned so much during this time and seeing all the hard work we put in day after day come to fruition was the most rewarding experience.

Brand Development
I played a big role in the development of Hotel San Luis Obispo and its associated brands. I worked closely with the Hotel owners and the architectural design group Gensler on exterior and interior design selections for Hotel courtyard, rooftop bar, lobby, restaurants, spa, meeting spaces, guest rooms, and all surrounding areas. I partook in numerous meetings with the Hotel owners and designer to determine the final concept of the overall brand identity, aesthetic, and mission.

Developed Product Offers and Hotel Happenings
I developed various Hotel offerings, meeting packages, and special event packages, and wrote all creative copy. Additionally, I developed Hotel Happenings page on the website, consisting of events and so forth that took place on property. I worked with the web developer on creating the website layout design, functionality, and overall user experience. I thoughtfully wrote headlines, creative copy, and selected images.
Social Media Management
When I first started at Hotel SLO, their Instagram had about 100 followers. During my time there, I grew the social media following to 10,000 organic followers.
I strategized and executed a monthly content flow that reflected product launches, campaigns, and monthly themes. Additionally, I increased social media engagement and enhanced website traffic through compelling imagery, storytelling, and appealing content.
I managed a Marketing Specialist and a Marketing Intern, whom I trained and helped execute our social media marketing strategy.
