Ox + Anchor


Chef Ryan Fancher shines a spotlight on local ingredients from the hills and sea surrounding SLO. For a casual vibe with farm-fresh fare inspired by Italy and the Central Coast, sidle into Piadina for lunch or dinner.

Being a part of the pre-opening team at Hotel SLO has been a very rewarding experience. I have collaborated with the architectural group Gensler on exterior and interior design selections for Hotel courtyard, rooftop bar, lobby, restaurants, spa, meeting spaces, guest rooms, and all surrounding areas. I worked closely with the web developer and Hotel owners from the concept to the creation of the Hotel website which consisted of the design aesthetic, brand voice, and overall user experience. Following that, I managed the website with the web developer and updated it accordingly.

Pre-Opening Phase

Being a part of the pre-opening team at Hotel SLO was the most rewarding experience that taught me so much. I worked rigorously and closely with the Hotel Owners, architectural design firm architects and designers from Gensler, Sales and Marketing Director, web developer, photographer, and the General Manager on this project.

When I started on this project, the building itself was in the process of being built. Every day was a new adventure and a new accomplishment. I learned so much during this time and seeing all the hard work we put in day after day come to fruition was the most rewarding experience.

Chef Ryan Fancher puts a modern spin on the classic steakhouse, drawing inspiration from the hills and sea surrounding San Luis Obispo. Ox + Anchor features a carefully curated wine list focused around the Central Coast.

Brand Development

I worked closely with Gensler interior designer and Hotel Owners to determine the fine dining restaurant concept.
I was a part of numerous development meetings where we would discuss and determine the full restaurant brand and overall concept. I helped define the restaurant name and logo, brand aesthetic, brand voice, and overall feel from concept to creation.

Additionally, I helped create the strategic marketing plan and launch strategy, marketing materials, and created/managed the social media page.

Social Media Management

Below are some examples of social media accounts that I managed and did content creation for various brands. I strategized and executed monthly content flow that reflected product launches, campaigns, and monthly themes, in addition to increasing social media engagement and enhancing website traffic through compelling imagery, storytelling, and appealing content.

I grew social media account from 100 followers to 9,000 followers
